Our ethos
We are a group of investors, founders, and operators with hybrid experiences in both Silicon Valley and Asia. We are a new investment firm purpose built to invest in ambitious founders who want to go global from day 1. We like to partner early and have the conviction to be the first global investor for these founders, and we have the resources to bridge them with the US/global native ecosystems from day 1 of our partnership.We put our years of deep networks in multiple continents at work to support our portfolio companies. We understand from first-hand go-global experiences the type of strategy, talent, and organizational set-up needed to win. We also observed from first-hand experiences in Silicon Valley the desire to bridge an existing gap in understanding the outside startups, their unique business models, and value to investors, and we believe that we're the right people to build that bridge.
Our team
Matteo was previously an investment banker and investor at a billion-dollar holding group. He also spent three years in Asia while completing his studies at Fudan University and working at ByteDance. He is currently based in San Francisco.Laura spent her career working for the fastest growing tech companies in both the US and Asia, including first-hand experience building ByteDance go-global business. She is currently based in San Francisco and is part of the senior leadership team at a $3B Silicon Valley startup.Ed (Venture Partner) brings over a decade of AI experience in Asia, including as a product leader for ByteDance go-global business, where he transformed advanced AI research into enterprise-ready solutions. He was also a founder himself, achieving 10M DAU globally.

We like to work with founders who have strong technical capabilities, understand the playbook of building a global user base, but are in need of US/global native know-how and resources.

Our team
Matteo brings a unique blend of global investing, company building, and operating experience to Dolomite. He began his career in investment banking in London, advising on nearly $1 billion of technology financings and M&A. He later became an investor at a multi-billion-dollar family office, backing companies such as Bugatti Rimac alongside global partners like SoftBank and Goldman Sachs.Laura is a seasoned operator with a background in management consulting and leadership roles at high-growth technology companies. She has served as Head of Finance & Operations at a $3B+ Silicon Valley company, Head of Strategy at ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, where she focused on growth and international expansion, led Strategy & Ops at Google, and began her career as a Consultant at McKinsey.Luca is a technology operator with deep experience building and scaling startups in the healthcare space. He has led full-stack engineering teams at multiple VC-backed companies in Silicon Valley, including Osmind and Big Health, helping drive product innovation and operational growth.We are also supported by a network of operating partners.
